hawaii colleges and universities

Want to go to college in paradise? Why not consider Hawaii? Each year, hundreds of out-of-state residents choose to travel to the Aloha State for an education that includes endless sunshine, surfing, stunning natural beauty, and colleges and universities that are certainly as good as the ones on mainland U.S.A.

The University of Hawaii system includes three universities and seven community colleges. The campuses of the universities are located in Hilo, on the Big Island; Manoa, near Honolulu; and in West Oahu near Pearl City. The community colleges cover four additional islands: Kauai, Maui, Molokai and Lanai.

Hawaii Pacific University is the state's largest private institution of higher learning. Established in 1965 and located in Honolulu, students can receive Bachelor of Arts degrees in 40 different majors and BS degrees in subjects that are ideal for Hawaii-based students, like oceanography and marine biology. An excellent graduate program is available as well and includes interesting majors such as Global Leadership and Military Studies.
